مقدمه :
امروزه با توجه به گسترش صنایع مختلف نیاز به مراجع تائید شده جهت طراحی، ساخت و نصب،
بازرسی فنی ضروری می باشد. صنایع نفت ، گاز ،پتروشیمی ، پالایشگاهی و نیرو گاهی نیز از این
قضیه مستثنی نبوده و استفاده از روش های سعی و خطا نیز منجر به خسارات جبران ناپذیری
میگردد. تدوین کد و استاندارد نیز همزمان با انقلاب صنعتی در کشور های توسعه یافته آغاز گردید.
در واقع صنعتگران تجربیات گذشته خود در صنایع را مدون و در فعالیت های صنعتی مشابه
استفاده می نمودند. با وارد شدن صنعت به مراحل پیشرفته و مدرن نیاز به استفاده از استاندارد و
کد بیشتر احساس می شد. بنابراین استاندارد ها بر اساس فعالیت های تجربی گذشته و همچنین
تلفیق آنها با اطلاعات دانشگاهی شکل گرفته اند و موسسات و انجمن های صنعتی مختلف
اطلاعات خود را در مجموعه هایی به نام کد و استاندارد ارائه دادند.
